In April 2023, The UK and Ireland submitted a joint bid to co-host the 2028 European Football Championships.
The bid is a detailed plan that demonstrates how the nations are coming together to stage a football festival for all of Europe and take the tournament to new heights, enhanced by the nations’ excellent technical facilities and operational experience

THE CHALLENGE
The FA needed support during the development of the bid, facilitating the consultation with individual venues looking to host matches throughout the Tournament, ensuring the bid was the strongest it could be.
THE SOLUTION
Our embedded support to the Director of the Bid, provided strategic leadership and direction to the Technical workstream, established stadium commercials, availability schedules and overall compliance, and provided assistance on mobility and accommodation requirements. We liaised directly with Host Associations and Stadiums to establish key relationships, understand capabilities, support them in their development of documentation and provided risk analysis and recommendations to The FA.
THE RESULT
The UK and Ireland successfully won their bid!

The result is a detailed plan that shows how the nations of the UK and Ireland are collaborating to stage a historic tournament across ten stadia and host cities.
