ABOUT
New Zealand participated in Expo 2020, Dubai, and delivered a world-class pavilion and visitor experience to showcase New Zealand as a country to trade and partner with, invest in, study, and visit. The theme of New Zealand’s pavilion, located in the Sustainability District, was Kaitiakitanga: Care for People and Place for Future Generations.

THE CHALLENGE
Trivandi was appointed alongside Emirates Flight Catering and Transguard to plan and operate New Zealand’s Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. The role encompassed strategic planning, operational planning, readiness, operations, decommissioning, dissolution, and legacy.
THE SOLUTION
We mobilised an experienced operational planning team to integrate NZ Pavilion planning with the wider Expo masterplan and operation, and provide coordinated Service Delivery across operations, security, and hospitality.
Trivandi developed and led operational readiness and testing exercises through an integrated operational planning process.
THE RESULT
The New Zealand pavilion was visited by almost 1.25 million visitors during Expo 202 Dubai. It showcased the rich Maoriculture, and how New Zealand innovates to care for people and place, through displays, workshops, food, performances, exhibitions and events.
