The Pyramids of Giza is one of the most iconic sites on the planet. It’s centre piece, the Great Pyramid, is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one to remain largely intact. Over 14 million people visit the Pyramids each year, making it one of the most popular tourist sites in the world.

THE CHALLENGE

Trivandi was appointed by Orascom, Pyramids Entertainment, to support transformation of the visitor experience of the Pyramids of Giza, creating a world-class standard and setting a new benchmark for World Heritage sites.

Following a benchmarking exercise against other World Heritage sites, Trivandi developed a Visitor Experience strategy that mapped guest groups, established guest personas, developed typical experiential journeys, defined their touch points and captured their core operational needs. This identified opportunities to elevate the guest experience through innovative engagement initiatives and tailored experiences, as well as commercial opportunities.

We also assessed the Visitor Masterplan and developed the Operational Foundation Plans to ensure successful delivery of the defined experience.



THE RESULT

Trivandi’s extensive report and foundational plan are being used to deliver the experience operations moving forwards, while maintaining the Pyramids' historical integrity.

Working on such a mystical site was an extraordinary honour, and we are excited to see how our work will enrich the awe-inspiring journey for millions or adoring visitors.
