FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), the host country entity responsible for the delivery of the World Cup, and its key stakeholders required strategic advisory in the lead up to the tournament across strategic planning, project assurance, masterplanning, operational planning and operational readiness.

Trivandi supported the SC with a number of different roles in the build-up to, during, and post the event to support with their overarching requirements.

Trivandi worked in partnership with Dar Al Handasah to develop the concept and masterplans for the temporary Fan Villages, providing expert guidance on all aspects of the operations, an optimum mix of permanent and temporary infrastructure, an expansive and diverse set of facilities to enrich the fan experience and a legacy programme to support the local communities in the future.​

Trivandi developed a Covid19 Playbook, implementing 10 vital steps for covid safe delivery across a series of test events, providing key insights into areas of awareness and best practice that will contribute to the effective delivery of a COVID-safe event.​

Trivandi embedded expert resources within the SC to review, develop and oversee the implementation and integration of the policies & procedures and operational readiness programme across the organisation, as well as deliver robust operational plans to manage the Workforce and Volunteer Programme. This included thorough gap analysis, project assurance, and consultation on industry best practice.

Trivandi also worked closely with all functional areas to develop the post-tournament report to capture the lessons learnt from the Tournament, and identify key recommendations for the future.

Trivandi’s expertise ensured quality, comprehensiveness and competence of strategic and operational planning and readiness, and supported the successful delivery of the first-ever World Cup in the Middle East.

The post-event report provided clear and concise Transfer of Knowledge documentation to support future FIFA World Cup hosts, and ongoing and future major events hosted in Qatar, leaving a lasting legacy from Qatar 2022.
