Our support for these events has ranged across every stage of their lifecycle – from bid to legacy. This has included strategic advisory, operational planning, readiness and delivery, stakeholder integration and post-project assessment - always with a focus on exceptional guest experiences.
As we look back on the last decade, it's clear that trends in hosting events have shifted significantly. There is now a much greater scrutiny on the costs associated with hosting events - as has been epitomised with the recent withdrawal of Victoria from hosting the 2026 Commonwealth Games and Bali from hosting the 2023 ANOC World Beach Games, plus the overall reduction in the number of countries and cities bidding to host mega-events over the last few years. This in turn has meant that there is also a greater focus on maximising the legacy benefits, both in terms of ensuring sustainability is central to venue and operational planning, as well as leaving behind a strong human legacy. Finally, we’ve also seen a shift in the way people engage with events, with a rise in utilising the latest innovations and technology to revamp formats, and enhance the guest experience and event’s appeal.
