Major event expert Mark Lawrie joins Trivandi as Chief Strategy Officer.

Former Deloitte Partner will also lead Trivandi’s Saudi Arabia practice as the major events and venues firm enters a new phase of growth

Mark Lawrie has joined Trivandi as Chief Strategy Officer. With over 26 years’ of management consulting experience with Deloitte Consulting and in the major event and sport industry, Mark will drive Trivandi’s global strategy as it enters a new era of growth.

Former Global Head of Deloitte’s Major Events Practice, Mark brings an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the strategy, design, implementation and governance of major events, in particular the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and Expo 2020 Dubai. Mark is highly experienced in complex programme delivery in political environments, supporting governments, rights holders and delivery organisations as they undertake major events projects, from concept to execution.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Mark will be driving Trivandi’s global strategy to support the growth and expansion of Trivandi’s current and future service offer. Over the last three years, Trivandi’s global operations have significantly increased, including a 463% increase in headcount. In 2023, Trivandi won the Best Professional Services in Sport at the Sport Business Awards, was certified a Great Place to Work in both the UK and the UAE and is currently shortlisted for Professional Services Team of the Year at the 2024 Sport Industry Awards.

Mark will be based in Riyadh to lead the continued growth of Trivandi’s Saudi Arabia practice. Trivandi’s Middle East presence has also grown significantly with the number of team members in our Dubai and Riyadh offices tripling in size over the last year, whilst supporting mega projects including Sports Boulevard, Qiddiya, NEOM Sports, F1 Grand Prix’s in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Expo 2020 and COP28 UAE.
